I caught this 5 lbs bass at Fort Lewis
WA. I had been fishing early that
morning with a buddy of mine and we
had caught several small fish
consistently. Being from Texas, I was
looking to increase size and I had one
last spot on the lake that I knew carried
some sizeable fish. I gently put down
my light weight tackle and reached for
my heavy hitter and proceeded to tie
on a baby brush hog. I cast out and
let it drop all the way to the bottom and
began to twitch it slightly. The next
thing I knew there was a tug and my
line flew through the water. I set the
hook quickly and the fight was on. He
never had a chance as my rod made
quick work of him.
